Preamp for Vintage sounds
The Origin Effects BassRIG '64 Black panel is a handy pedal-sized BassPreamp that delivers the authentic Vintage-Sound of California bass amps from the wild sixties. Following the "amp in a box" concept, the fully analogue effect pedal features authentic replicas of all sound-defining components of a bass amplifier to recreate the complex interaction between E-Bass and amp in as much detail as possible. Thanks to two sound modes, the precise 3-band tone control and the simulation of a 2x15 bass box, the BassRIG '64 Black panel delivers extremely fat soul and rock'n'roll sounds, which can be increased to a juicy Overdrive if desired.
Analogue circuitry with two vintage sounds
At the heart of Origin Effects' BassRIG '64 Black panel is an all-analogue circuit with two modes of operation, featuring Class A preamps and a replica push/pull power amp, as well as replicas of all the sound-defining components of a vintage bass amp, promising a particularly natural feel and sound experience. In BLK mode, the pedal delivers a controlled sound with a well-dosed mid-scoop, while the TWD mode stands for a mid-emphasized sound with increased gain reserves.
Precise adjustment of the sound
While the Drive knob boosts the sonic character of the BassRIG '64 Black panel from a soothing vintage clean to a harmonically bursting BassOverdrive, the Blend knob mixes in the clean input signal to add punch and definition. To customize the tone, the pedal is also equipped with a pre-drive 3-band equalizer, which is complemented by Bright and Fat modes to emphasize the brilliance or bass foundation.
Amp Out EQ and DI Output
Another practical detail of the Origin Effects BassRIG '64 Black panel is the Amp Out EQ, which allows you to adapt the Preamps to an existing bass amplifier with adjustable high and low filters and a separate horn cut. Via the balanced XLR DI-Out, the bass signal can also be fed directly to mixing consoles or audio interfaces, whereby the Cab-Sim switch determines whether the speaker simulation is active continuously or only after switching on the pedal.
