Distortion pedal in Orange design of the seventies
With the Orange Distortion ped al, the British cult company sends a straightforward distortion pedal for electric guitar into the race, whose design is unmistakably oriented to the original Orange pedals of the wild Seventies. In the large aluminum housing of the British-built guitar pedal promises a discrete, amplifier-like analog circuit a wide spectrum of British crunch and distortion sounds.
Analog circuitry with amp character
Developed by Orange's chief designer Ade Emsley, the analog circuitry of the Orange Distortion pedal uses discrete components and JFETs to mimic the sonic character of an amp with a traditional tone stack. Depending on the position of the Level and Depth controls, the guitar pedal delivers a wide spectrum of sounds, ranging from near-clean Boost to juicy Brit crunch to roaring Distortion. The sound character of the treble can also be precisely adjusted via an internal trim pot.
