The ideal sound center
As a two-channel guitar preamp in pedal format, the Orange Guitar Butler is the ideal sound center for all guitarists who create their personal sound with a Pedalboard or are looking for a practical solution for direct pickup with a natural sound. With the vintage-oriented Clean channel and the juicy distorting Dirty channel when needed, the analog JFET circuitry holds extensive tonal nuances ready, which can be precisely adjusted via separate tone controls. Besides the serial FX loop, an amp output and a balanced XLR Out with speaker simulation complete Orange's Guitar Butler Preamp.
Dual channel JFET circuit
The analog circuitry of the Guitar Butler preamp relies on JFET transistors, which promise a harmonic sound with tube-like behavior. The clean channel with its unmistakable vintage voicing not only creates the basis for glassy sounds without distortion, but is also ideal for combination with upstream effect pedals. A 3-band equalizer and the gain control allows the sound to be precisely adjusted here. Depending on the position of the gain control, the Dirty channel delivers a wonderfully creamy Overdrive or a juicy distortion, with which every riff or solo can be skillfully put in scene. While the Gain knob, 3-band tone control and Presence pot allow you to adjust the distorted sound, the dual Level knobs provide two volume levels for rhythm and solo playing.
Practical connections
Last but not least, Orange completes the Guitar Butler Preamp with practical connections that enable trouble-free use on stage and in the recording studio. While the serial effect path integrates external effect devices into the signal path, the amp out passes the preamp signal on to guitar amplifiers or power amps. The balanced XLR output, on the other hand, offers a first-class speaker simulation, so that direct pickups on stage or in the Studio succeed with a particularly natural sound character.
