The Orange OBC410 4X10 BASS CABINET Heavy Duty 4X10'' Speakers with Crossover and high quality HF Horn, 600w Power Handling RMS 8 ohms, Speakon and 1/4 Jack connectors. Classic Orange style and construction.
The Orange OBC410 4X10 BASS CABINET represents a great stage cabinet, particularly when driven by the Orange AD200B bass head valve amplifier. The OBC410 features four Eminence 10 inch speakers handling 600 watts RMS, producing a very tight, punchy sound. The OBC 410 bass enclosure is constructed from 13 ply, high density 18 mm birch plywood, with tough skids on the base of the cabinet for enhanced stage connection. It is acoustically compartmented internally for strenth and anti-vibration and displays a high order of technical design and construction.

Having come back off two larger tours with a small setup, I'd always admired these. Orange was one of the dream companies when it came to bass amplication, when I first started playing some 30yrs ago. In that time I have done the big rigs, the class D stuff, the portable and the practice amps. More recently I had been opting for more lightweight setups as I'm acknowledging I'm getting older. However I definitely noticed a need for a bigger rig as some of the venues I've played recently have been bigger.
So I took the plunge and bought this. Downsides - it is of course heavy. It also doesn't come with a cover but Orange do a pretty neat one for around £30 that is easily obtainable. Also, it isn't the cheapest 4x10 cab so I guess you have to really want it. Beyond that I don't see any faults. It's well made and so long as you like Orange tolex (obviously I do), it looks great. I plugged in the new Orange bass terror head and immediately was struck by what must have been the best bass tone I have ever had. I'm sure negotiating stairs after shows as my singer goes flouncing about not helping might make me question the purchase but if tone is important, this is the cab! I should probably add, it is loud so if like me you are also playing smaller venues with landlords who worry about volume, it's probably worth keeping a smaller rig in reserve for those shows.
