I've got it for in-house playing of records. The build quality is sufficiently high and the controls work flawlessly, with one small exception. The needle light on/off switch does not work in my unit. I assume it's a transport damage issue and I don't really mind it as it's stuck on always on. Drive stop/start is really good, there is no wobble or speed variation. Setup was simple and balancing and anti-skid are easy to fiddle with. Used with a decent club Numark cartridge the sound quality is very good. Considering I only use it for in-house listening I miss the Technics auto-stop feature, but this was definitely designed with DJ presence around it in mind so it's not a device flaw, more like a thing to take into consideration. I don't do any serious scratching but my puny attempts felt good and stable, no skipping , the slipmat with which it came is nice, although it produces a lot of static. Again, I need to stress I am not a professional DJ, but my feeling is that this machine is of great value. I managed to do all my experiments with it and listen to both very old and poor quality records and brand new ones with no issues.
