The Xer Mixa from Noise Engineering is an audio mixer with ten stereo inputs and full MIDI control, whose qualities are on studio level. The fully analogue signal path of this performance mixer impresses with unadulterated sound quality due to high-quality components and very low noise and crosstalk of the channels; especially at heavy levels or strong modulation, this is an enormous advantage. Thanks to the large headroom, the mixer has quite a bit of level reserves when the inputs are practically already glowing. The ten stereo inputs are divided into eight channels with level fader and two aux inputs, which are accessed via the Display. For all ten inputs, there are pan controls and handy toggle switches to mute the channels without clicking. Since all input pairs are normalized, mono signals can also be integrated without any problems, these are treated internally like Stereo. Inputs 1-8 also have aux send, which is individually switchable pre/post per channel. The mixer is equipped with seven presets, which can of course be completely overwritten, for faster switching between projects or setups. The full MIDI implementation is a huge plus for those who want to run Xer Mixa with mixer automation in the DAW or even with a master sequencer. Xer Mixa is compatible with up to two Expando Expandi modules. The Expander is equipped with eight CV inputs that can be assigned to any parameter (channel volume, panning, aux send...). So with two EE you can influence up to 18 parameters via control voltage.
