Incus Iteritas Alia FM-based wave-mangling additive voice from NE
With Incus Iteritas Alia, Noise Engineering adds a digital oscillator with a focus on hard FM percussion to the Alia platform. Two of the three included synthesis algorithms use additive synthesis, the third (Heavy) uses FM synthesis with eight operators. Thanks to the internal attack envelope, the module is also recommended as a synth or drum voice. Cross-genre kicks, snares, hi-hats, zaps, FM plucking noises and meandering basslines dominate the sound portfolio. The combination of waveshaping, saturation wavefolding, FM and additive synthesis results in an enormous range of possible sounds. Of course, softer sounds with a metallic character and retro sounds familiar from Yamaha synthesizers of the late 80s are also no problem. If you animate the parameters via the nine CV inputs and trigger input for the envelope, it slowly dawns on you what a "wild" module Incus Iteritas Alia actually is.
Exchangeable firmware
Alia is an oscillator platform which, like Versio and Legio, allows the software to be exchanged. You can access the Alia page via the Noise Engineering homepage, where you can find alternative firmwares free of charge.
