Nectar Impact LX Mini
The Impact LX mini from Nektar is a compact master keyboard with a 25-key velocity sensitive mini keyboard. Eight equally velocity-sensitive pads with LED backlighting allow dynamic recording and triggering of drums and samples in the DAW. The arpeggiator as a guarantor for melodies and basslines is extensively programmable on the keyboard without hidden menus and even masters swing. The eight knobs can be assigned to any parameter in the DAW to have the most important functions directly at hand. The side connector for the footswitch completes the functionality of the Impact LX mini. Thanks to the dedicated transport buttons, quick operation of the most important functions of a DAW is guaranteed. The following DAWs are supported: Bitwig, Cubase, Ableton Live, Cakewalk, FL Studio, Garageband, Logic, Nuendo, Reaper, Reason and Studio One. Since a small keyboard also means compromises, the Part 2 function comes into play at Impact LX Mini: simply press one of the Part 2 buttons while playing and you can transpose, play over an octave or play on a different MIDI channel. After releasing the Part 2 buttons, the keyboard returns to its original settings.
Free software package
Free of charge to Impact LX Mini the manufacturer provides an extensive download software package that includes a license of the DAW "Bitwig 8-Track" and the package "Bitwig Essentials" with 50 software instruments and effects. For changes and executability on Windows and Mac systems as well as DAWs, please refer to the Nektar homepage.
