The Mutable Instruments Rings Modal Filter Bank is a modal filter bank and comb-filtered based resonator, for physical modelling synthesis, with three models, and a width of 14HP. Rings brings physical modelling synthesis to your Eurorack system, from a more modular angle than Braids’ models or Elements. Instead of trying to be a complete instrument, Rings focuses on the key ingredient, the resonator, ready to be excited by envelope clicks, trigger pulses, granular noise or any other audio source produced by the rest of your system.
The main features of the Mutable Instruments Rings Modal Filter Bank include:
3x Resonator Models: Modal Resonator, Sympathetic Strings, String With Non-Linearity/Dispersion
Pseudo-Polyphony Of Up To 4 Notes
Controls: Number of Strings/Structures; Synthesis Model; Main Frequency; Structure; Brightness; Damping; Position
This module offers a big range of different timbres and character to most analog oscillators, is , very flexible and has a lot of cv inputs, all with their own bipolar attenuator. It's deep, but very easy to find your way around. Top Notch!
I recommended in any basic modular setup. Multiple functions and some mysterious hidden secrets to find. Marvelous sound with a simple and intuitive interface. Mutable Instruments seems to open new ways in the eurorack world.
