For the construction of the StingRay Special bass guitar, Music Man relies on a body made of carefully selected hardwood (Select Hardwood), which, with its revised contours, lies even more comfortably on the body and thus guarantees optimal handling. The neck, on the other hand, is made of Roasted Maple, which is insensitive to climate changes thanks to thermal treatment. Thanks to the five-fold screw connection with Sculpted-Neck-Joint, the rosewood fingerboard can be played furthermore up to the 22nd stainless steel fret without any problems.
