The Music Man Sterling MN Black E-Bass convinces with its extremely comfortable handling and a versatile sound palette that never denies the typical Music Man character. The compact ash body occupies a stable, balanced position on both the strap and the thigh, while the fivefold bolted maple neck with a pleasant wax finish lets every groove play itself out. The pickup used on the Music Man Sterling is a Music Man Alnico Humbucker at a typical position, whose coils can be called up in various combinations by means of the 3-way blade switch. Accordingly, not only the powerful series connection of the Humbucker is available, but also a transparent single coil sound and the broadband playback of the coils connected in parallel. In addition, an active 3-band tone control is available, with which the sound image can be adjusted particularly precisely. High-quality hardware in the form of the classic Music Man bridge, which thanks to the massive steel construction promotes sustain and sound development, and precise Schaller BM tuners complete the Music Man Sterling 4-String electric bass.
