The Musicman Luke III HH Tremolo 6-String Electric Guitar Bodhi Blue is a solidbody signature guitar designed for guitar legend Steve Lukather. It comes at a slightly larger size than its predecessors and includes a roasted maple neck giving it a slightly aged look. This also makes the neck slightly stronger than your average and couple with thin frets, this provides a comfortable playing experience. The signal is picked up by two high quality Dimarzio Transition Humbuckers that can be control via a 5 way switch. This therefore gives the guitar a split coil ability and more versatility.Finally this guitar comes with a unique 12db active pre amp boost switch, activated by pushing and pulling the volume knob.The volume jump is more subtle when distorted and opens up the guitar to more sustain and definition.

I have very small hands and was struggling with my other guitars, a Fender BlackTop Telecaster and a Gretsch Double Jet. So I took the chance and ordered the Luke 3 without the opportunity to try out the guitar before ordering it!
The very first time I picked the Luke 3 up from its Case, I knew, this is it! The build quality is superb and the sound speaks for i self.
The guitar almost plays it self, the neck is super perfect for my small hands and as the guitar is on the small side, it couldnt be a more perfect guitar for me.
I know that my Fender and Gretsch are in a different price range, but, the money I spent on the Luke 3 is the best thing I ever did!
Of course you have to try the guitar before buying it, I only did order the Luke 3, after long research on the internet, reading tests/reviews and talking to people who knew the guitars from Music Man.
