The Luke III BFR is already the third reincarnation of the Steve Lukather Signature model and differs significantly from its regular siblings in the Premium dealer Network Limited variant. A tone Block of mahogany is inserted into the body of selected alder, giving warmth and sustain to the basic sound. The fivefold bolted neck consists of hard birdseye maple, which lies comfortably in the hand thanks to the light V-profile and ensures an incomparable playing comfort.

These passive pickups were developed in close cooperation with Steve Lukather and convince with their organic reproduction and plastic sound depth. The pickups convince with their versatile and musical reproduction in a wide spectrum between crystal clear Clean , bluesy crunch and creamy High Gain Distortion . As a special feature, the Music Man Luke III BFR Premium Dealer Network Limited is equipped with an active Gain Boost one, which raises the volume by 15 db if necessary, thus providing additional volume reserves for solos.
A floating bridge suspended from two bolts is Music Man Tremolo used as a bridge, which brings chords and solos to life with gentle shimmer or stronger vibratos. High-quality Schaller M6-IND Locking mechanics reliably prevent detuning.

The very first time I picked the Luke 3 up from its Case, I knew, this is it! The build quality is superb and the sound speaks for i self.
The guitar almost plays it self, the neck is super perfect for my small hands and as the guitar is on the small side, it couldnt be a more perfect guitar for me.
I know that my Fender and Gretsch are in a different price range, but, the money I spent on the Luke 3 is the best thing I ever did!
Of course you have to try the guitar before buying it, I only did order the Luke 3, after long research on the internet, reading tests/reviews and talking to people who knew the guitars from Music Man.
