Refined construction in the style of the 70s
The construction of the Music Man Classic StingRay 5 follows the origins of this modern classic in the 1970s. Accordingly, the electric bass has an ash body, while the one-piece neck is made of maple. A tribute to the modern is the sixfold screw connection, which guarantees a secure connection and optimum vibration transmission. The 7.5" (191 mm) fretboard radius, in combination with the strong neck profile and narrow frets, promotes easy playability with authentic vintage character.
The combination of classical Music Man humbucker and active electronics delivers the typical StingRay sound. The bridge is equipped with the string dampers of the Mute Kit.

With the Music Man Standard humbucker placed in a typical position, whose fat pole piezces are loaded by Alnico magnets, the Music Man Classic StingRay 5 delivers the typical sound, whose rich low-end punch and striking highs form the perfect basis for pushing rock grooves or merciless slap attacks. The low B-string of the five-string is also harmoniously integrated into the sound with clean articulation. To adjust the sound, an active 2-band tone control for bass and treble is also available, which acts musically even in extreme settings.

The strings are held on the body side of the Music Man String-Thru bridge, whose solid stainless steel construction supports the powerful sound of the bass with brilliant treble and long sustain.
