Futuristic design with comfortable handling
The avant-garde design of the Music Man Bongo not only convinces with optimal playing characteristics, but due to the carefully matched tonewoods, the six-string also offers a precise sound character on all strings. The lime body with its strong character lines takes a balanced playing position on the strap as well as on the thigh, while the wide and flat D-profile of the five-piece maple neck promises agile playing characteristics in all positions of the 24-fret ebony fingerboard.
Two humbuckers with powerful neodymium magnets and the extremely flexible 4-band EQ allow the exact tuning of the bass sound.
Neodymium pickups and flexible EQ
The electrical sound conversion of the Bongo 6 is done by two Music Man humbuckers with neodymium magnets. Due to the powerful magnet material the pickups convince with an output-strong and powerful sound, whose precise detail representation guarantees a clean reproduction of all strings. In addition to the blend control for stepless mixing of both pickup signals, the electric bass guitar also features an active 4-band equalizer that allows for particularly precise adjustment of the sound. Thanks to the operating voltage of 18 volts, the electronics also impress with an enormous headroom for a clean playback even with a strong attack and extreme settings of the tone controls.
Six lightweight Music Man Custom tuners ensure accurate tuning and prevent the dreaded neck dive.
Indestructible hardware equipment
Of course, Music Man completes the Bongo 6 HH Stealth Black with indestructible hardware from their own house. The all-steel Music Man Standard Bridge not only supports the precise tonal character of the six-stringer, but also guarantees exact adjustment of intonation and string action. Behind the Music Man plastic saddle, whose compensated string pads allow the empty strings to intonate cleanly, Music Man Lightweight tuners also ensure accurate and stable tuning.
