Tube combo for electric guitar with curly maple cabinet, three channels and Celestion Custom 90 speaker, including foot switch
With the Mesa Boogie Mark V 1x12 Combo Custom Crimson, the well-known amplifier company from Petaluma, California, presents the fifth incarnation of the legendary Mark-Series electric guitar amplifier in a stylish Riegelahorn cabinet. Equipped with three full channels, a graphic 5-band equaliser, reverb and effect path as well as a variable power amplifier and the proven Celesion C-90 Black Shadow speaker, the compact tube top leaves no sound wish unfulfilled.
The Mesa Boogie Mark V has three fully featured channels, each with three sound modes, plus a 5-band graphic equalizer.
Three channels for sound nirvana
The three-channel preamp of the Mesa Mark V 1x12 Combo is based on seven 12AX7 tubes and offers an incredible sound diversity that leaves nothing to be desired between pop, blues, rock and metal. Each channel has three switchable sound modes that have a significant influence on the playback character. In addition, each channel has its own 3-band tone control as well as gain, master and volume controls. The top also features a 5-band graphic equalizer for further shaping the guitar sound.
Internal and external effects
To refine the sound, the Mesa Boogie Mark V also offers an integrated spring reverb effect with a long system that brings the sound to life with its plastic depth. The reverb effect can be individually added to each channel via individual level controls on the rear of the amplifier. Further effects can also be integrated into the signal path of the top unit via the serial effect path. When not in use, the effect path can also be bypassed via a true bypass circuit to effectively prevent any sound loss.
Variable power and Celestion C-90 Speaker
The power amplifier of the Mesa Boogie Mark Five Combo draws a full 90 watts of power from its four 6L6 tubes, releasing sufficient volume reserves for the largest stages. Thanks to the innovative MultiWatt technology, the power can also be reduced to 45 watts and 10 watts, whereby it is possible to assign a separate power level to each channel. In addition, the Mesa Mark Five offers the possibility to rectify the power supply via a 5U4 tube or silicon diodes, which results in subtle differences in response and sound development of the amplifier. Last but not least, the 12-inch Celestion Custom 90 Black Shadow speaker promises an assertive sound.
