The Meinl PTOPCAJ4MH-M Pickup Slap-Top Cajon is a Cajon with a black body and a mahogany playing surface, in which a passive pickup is located. It is played by clamping the body between the legs, thus the mahogany playing surface is on the lap of the Cajon player. Inside is a passive pickup system with a robust output jack and separate controls for bass, snare and tone. The snare effect is created using high quality snare spirals, for a crisp, high and crisp sound.
Especially for drummers with back problems, this slap-top Cajon can serve as a welcome alternative to a conventional Cajon. Simply clamp the foot between the legs and the wider playing surface lies directly in front of the percussionist on the lap. The playing surface is not only made of the finest mahogany, but also delivers a great snare effect and crisp sound. The sound port of the Pickup Slap-Top Cajon is oriented towards the front, so that the sound can fully unfold.
