Meinl MCS Cymbal Set, 20"R,16"CR,14"HH

To be short, in my opinion, for this price-range, you wont find anything better than this series. Beginner cymbals are usually high-pitched and a bit annoying, but the Meinl MCS are not the case. Bright, melodic and balanced, the Hats are just wonderful to keep a nice groove and the Ride cymbal is excellent with a nice melodic bell, full of tone and possibilities. The crashes are not as good though, they lack "punch" and cut too fast, but thats just my opinion, you might like that particularity, depending on what kind of music you play and your personal taste.

Theyll last years of real use, and will satisfy you for the same amount of time, except maybe for the crash cymbal, but dont give up on this series because of that: the hats and ride are worth the money.

For the price, its really, really good, I recommend it.

Amazing set for intermediate level. I had Planet Z by Zildjian and Paiste 101 before, these new Meinl just blew my mind. Great response, nice and long sound, except the 16" sound a bit short and brassy.
The 18" would make up for it, definitely.
