Hand hammered Meinl cymbal in hybrid finish.

The Meinl B20DUCH Byzance Dual China 20" is a hand-hammered B20 bronze cymbal with a Byzance Dual finish. Handcrafted in Turkey by skilled cymbalsmiths, this China is finished with a very special Finish. On the outside, one ring is finely turned and polished to a Brilliant finish, while the inner area is left raw. In addition, the underside is given a Traditional finish. This unique mix of finishes also provides the stunning sound. Full and musical with a fast response, this china has clear and trashy sound characteristics.

Meinl Byzance Dual China: Hybrid China with Trash Sound

The Dual Chinas from the Byzance Extra Dry series offer a visually very strong hybrid finish with an untreated, raw area in the middle and a turned and lacquered edge. Different sized hammer blows create irregular compression of the material, adding complexity to the sound and shortening sustain. This makes the Byzance Dual Series suitable for moderate styles like Jazz, Funk, Fusion or R'n'B.
