is a hand hammered china cymbal made of high quality B20 bronze with an elaborate Byzance Dual Finish. This finish consists of the finely lathed and brilliant-polished outer ring and the unlathed area inside. In addition, the underside is also lathed and given a traditional finish. This unique surface mix also provides the breathtaking sound. Full and musical with a fast response, this China has clear and trashy sound characteristics.
The Dual Chinas from the Byzance Extra Dry series offer a visually strong hybrid finish with an unlathed, raw area in the middle and a lathed and painted edge. Different sized hammer marks cause an irregular compression of the material, which adds more complexity to the sound and shortens the sustain. This makes them suitable for moderate styles like Jazz, Funk or R'n'B.
