With the Maybach Lester Gold Rush 90, the renowned guitar builder pays tribute to the legendary instruments of the mid-fifties and comes up with a truly successful instrument: The Singlecut electric guitar in traditional design uses proven shapings and materials to come as close as possible to the original character. Last but not least, the Lester Gold Rush 90 was equipped with original pickups from the German pickup winder Amber for powerful, clear sounds.
Following the classic recipe, Maybach's Lester design is based on a mahogany body with a glued maple top. Meticulous attention is paid to the weight of the wood used in order to achieve the ideal centre of gravity on the belt and on the lap. On the other hand no Lester exceeds the golden limit of 4 kilograms total weight, whereby sound and playability benefit immensely and countless hours of play fun are guaranteed also after longer sessions;
In the spirit of the year '56 the Gold Rush comes with two P90 pickups in soapbar format. Two Spirit P90 pickups from the German winder Amber Pickups are responsible for the sound conversion on the Lester. The manufacturer of boutique pickups has made a name for itself among PAF fans with its Classic and CrossPoint 59 models and is one of the most sought-after winders on the market. Both pickups offer astonishingly open clarity with focused mids and are great for both dynamic sounds in the clean channel and crunchy sounds with the gain control turned up a bit.
Instrument is as high a quality and workmanship than the Gibson counterparts for half the price
