With this replica of a historic dreadnought from the 1930s, the U.S. manufacturer Martin & Co impressively proves that it is possible to reproduce both the visual and the tonal attributes of an acoustic guitar that has been played for decades. In addition to the authentic materials of the era, the instrument comes with a very thin Vintage Gloss finish and is also subjected to the sophisticated Vintage Tone System (VTS) treatment. Thanks to the Authetic 1937 profile neck, the guitar feels very true to the original, giving the impression that it is undoubtedly the original from 1937. The headstock is equipped with open tuners, which guarantee a clean tuning of the 6 steel strings and tastefully underline the vintage charm of the guitar with their small butterbean buttons. The D-18 Authentic is rounded off by filigree inlays of abalone, tortoise bindingsand a large tortoise pickguard. The scope of delivery includes a ply hardshell case.
