The Astoria models present Marshall a series of amplifiers with a circuit based on American boutique amps whose sound differs from that of the traditional Handwired series. Due to their different equipment, the amplifiers of the series have references in individual colours, which avoid mix-ups and underline the independent character of these amps.
The Astoria cabinets have been developed especially for these amplifiers and are equipped with a Custom -Voiced Celestion Creamback. This loudspeaker has a power handling capacity of 30 watts and, thanks to its frequency response, harmonises perfectly with the special sound of the Astoria amplifiers. It delivers a warm sound with vocal mids. In addition, the construction made of spiked birch plywood offers optimally tuned resonance behaviour and gives the cabinet a high degree of stability.
