The Markbass Marcus Miller CMD 103 Bass Combo convinces as a product of the ingenious collaboration between the New York bass genius and the Italian amplifier forge with a strong character sound and the well-known ease of transport. Here 400 watts of power and three 10" loudspeakers provide a powerful sound image with stage-suited volumes, while two separate equalizers guarantee tonal variability. The bass amplifier also features a serial effects path and a balanced line output for direct bass pickup on live gigs or in the recording studio.
The Markbass Marcus Miller CMD 103 convinces with a particularly tidy sound, which can be precisely adjusted with the two equalizers. EQ1 represents a 5-band tone control that allows precise adjustment of the sound image with up to 16 dB boost or cut in the character-forming frequency bands. In EQ2, on the other hand, the "Old School" Low Pass Filter can be used to get a warm Vintage sound, while the "Millerizer", as a variable band pass, lowers the mids for the typical Miller sound.
For bass reproduction, the Markbass Marcus Miller CMD 103 uses three Markbass custom neodymium speakers with a ten-inch diaphragm and a voice coil tweeter. In combination with the 400 Watt power of the modern Class D amplifier, the Combo Amp delivers an extremely powerful and balanced sound, whose volume reserves are loosely suitable for use in the bandroom or on the club stage. For direct signal pickup, the Markbass Marcus Miller CMD 103 also offers a balanced line out, which picks up the signal before or after the tone control and effect path thanks to the pre/post switch.
