The Markbass Little Mark Vintage 58R head at a glance:
The Little Mark Vintage 85R head is a true bass amp monster from Markbass and delivers powerful features for a flawless bass sound! Thanks to its size and low weight, the head is not only practical to transport, but with its ECC83 preamp tube and MPT (Mark Proprietary Technology) power amp, it also offers a whopping 500 watts of power and outstanding sound quality that proves its worth both on stage and at Studio. With all the sound options and functions, all the needs of a modern or traditional sound are met, making the amp versatile in all genres. As part of the Gold Series, the Little Mark Vintage 58R is a high-quality amp with a modern look and selected hardware components!
The powerful 4-band EQ is complemented by three EQ presets (FLAT, CUT, OLD), which offer an additional sound shape to tailor the sound to your own needs!
Precise EQ with 4-band EQ and 3-way switch
The Little Mark Vintage 58R comes with a 4-band EQ for Low, Mid Low, Mid High and High, allowing the sound to be adjusted as desired. In addition, three finely tuned EQ presets can be controlled via a 3-way switch to further shape the sound: The FLAT presetis limited to an untouched equalizer, while the CUT preset allows for lowered mids and boosted bass and treble. The OLD pres et aims for a classic vintage style with lowered highs, which allows a muffled sound with present mids and basses to be achieved. Furthermore, a modern sound characteristic can be controlled via the limiter control while it is fully turned up - if the limiter is set to zero, the sound of old amplifiers can be achieved, which are characterized by a typical, slightly overdriven distortion. In addition, the sound can be boosted between -46dB and +23dB using the front gain control.
MPT power amplifier and practical features
With patented Mark Proprietary Technology, the Little Mark Vintage 58R delivers a rich power amp that is specifically designed for the E-Bass to preserve the instrument's inherent sound. In addition, the amp comes with a DI output, which offers a high-quality DI circuit so that extreme transients are processed cleanly and precisely without any unpleasant distortion or sound colouration. There is also a mute and EQ on/off input on the front of the amp, which activates the mute function and allows the equalizer to be switched off using the optional dual footswitch. Another highlight of the Little Mark Vintage 58R is the Gold Line top equipment: as with all amps from the Gold Line series, this is gold-plated circuitrywith high-quality components that not only offer a high-quality sound but also guarantee long-lasting use of the amp!
