Mackie XR824

The Mackie XR824 is an active 8” studio monitor. Equipped with innovative technology, the XR824 offers a very balanced sound image that makes it useful for both professional recording studios and home recording studios. The Logarithmic Waveguide guarantees an accurate sound reproduction over the entire frequency spectrum. The ELP bass reflex system reduces air turbulence and optimises the depth reproduction when combined with an 8” Kevlar woofer. A 1” anodised aluminium tweeter reproduces detailed highs brilliantly. This system is powered by a 160W bi-amplified Class D amplifier.

On the rear are a controllable high-pass filter and low-pass filter for the adjustment of the monitors to the individual listening environment. An “Autospace” switch makes it possible to compensate for the different positioning of the monitors above or next to the mixing console. An input sensitivity control and a switchable “Auto on/off” function complete the XR824. This monitor comes with acoustic insulation pads to reduce unwanted resonances and optimise bass reproduction.
