Just bought two of these mics and they are fenomenal! You need to be carefull, as with most ribbon mics they dont take phantom power, they have a low output and they are sensitive to high pressures because their ribbon is very thin. The mics are great. Awesome warm sound. Ive already tried it on vocals, cajon, acordion, acoustic guitar and drum overheads and they performed very well on all these applications. They can smooth out out sounds that might be harsh when captured with condenser mics and they have a very natural sound. Sometimes, when the sound source is too quiet, you can start to hear some noise, but with a good clean preamp this shouldnt be a problem. The only thing I wish they had was a lo cut filter and maybe a 10db pad. Great mics overall. Cant beat the price.
Great Sound! And fantastic price!! It was a surprise for me because the microphone is so cheap, i bought and i am impressed!! I using it miking my guitar cabinet! Im really happy with the results that im getting! Great construction, great sound and amazing price!! I recommend!!
