The MXL BCD-1 is a classically-designed dynamic talker microphone for radio and podcast applications, and is optimized for capturing the human voice. The housing is designed to prevent resonance from being picked up inside, and includes a vibrating mount for the capsule to acoustically decouple it from impact and contact noise. The BCD-1's powerful output level makes it suitable for use with any microphone amplifier on standard audio interfaces, where it produces broadcast-quality sound instantly. The dynamic transducer principle also ensures that unwanted room impressions, which usually occur in non-professionally optimized rooms, do not get onto the recording.
