The main features of the MS-1 Table Mic Stand include:
This is a small microphone stand and was bought for home desktop use. It is small and can fit in your pocket.......the legs screw out. I have found it to be stable so far and hasn't fallen over. The height is useful too for placing in front of my guitar amp for recording.
After assembling it, I was pleased to note how stable it was. I tried it with a AKG C3000 in its shock mount, with a AKG C1000, and just for the sake of really testing it, I mounted a K&M stereo bar with two Rode NT5s. Also, since after screwing the stereo bar down, the stand thread sticks out enough to fit a mic in there. So, I put the AKG C3000 on the stand thread, and had the three mics at the same time. The Rode NT5s pointing backwards,. I extended the arms from the stereo bar and still the stand stayed perfectly in place with no sign of tipping over. I'm pleased and would buy another one.
Quality mic stand to use on a table or on the floor near amp. Strudy build. Stable in use. Can be dismantled in 4 separate pieces therefore compact for storage or transportation. Bottom line: affordable piece of gear, which gets tho job done.
Works well with any mic clamp, and is great to mic small amps on the floor. No adjustable parts except for the clamp nut. Also great to put on top of a table to hold a mic for speech recording. Very stable, it can be took apart into 4 separate straight pieces, so easy to store and carry.
