The Music Store 19 Dowel Hot Rods are a high quality pair of Maple hot rods with 19 bars for a fuller sound. Hot Rods are used in the same style as drumsticks, but give a much softer sound. The Music Store 19 Dowel Hot Rods feature a rugged plastic handle with one rubber binding hoop that can be adjusted to alter the impact of the stick to make it harder or softer as required.
Purchased these for a couple of gigs where I needed a little less volume in a few songs. Didn't expect much but got a real shock. They were really good, they felt good in my hands and were much more robust than I imagined. Considering the price they are well worth picking-up and slotting into your stick bag, Will have to get a few more pairs just in case!
