The Music Store 5B Maple Sticks offer a softer tone than hickory sticks, with a lighter weight, but are still very durable. These affordable sticks are great for beginners or people who are touring on a budget.
i dont usually play with these, but i also use them, specially when i want a heavier sound. they work specially well for rock and heavy/agressive music in general, but you can actually use them for many things, including marching drums or some exotic instruments that require this kind of stick. great stick overall.
I do not recommend these drumsticks beginner drummers because almost every pair of curves, and an aspiring drummer should begin with sticks on smooth example Vic Firth 5B. These rods are suitable for those who have already experienced drummer and accustomed to hardship, ideal to use them for rehearsals.
i bought this to use mainly my rehearsals, in order to save the more expensive for the concerts. the wood of the sticks is very good and they can handle a lots of strokes. And for the price they costs you can buy a lots of this sticks, it compensates to buy the bundle that they have.
Our drummer said these sticks are very light and also very fragile. They break very fast if you play fast and hard rythms. But they're really good for practice and very cheap! So if you're interested in buying these buy at least 10 pairs of them. After all they're not that expensive.
