The Line 6 Variax Shuriken Stevic MacKay Signature was developed in close collaboration between Line 6 and the guitarist of Australian progressive metal band Twelve Foot Ninja. Accordingly, the baritone guitar turns out to be a first-class tool for virtuoso riffs and solos. While the electric guitar is very comfortable to play thanks to the ergonomic alder body and the comfortable maple neck, the elaborate Line 6 Variax electronics provide versatile sounds that set no limits to creativity.
The design of the Line 6 Variax Shuriken was designed by Stevic MacKay and convinces with high ergonomics. The alder body nestles against the player and thus occupies a particularly stable position, while the wide cut aways allow unhindered access to the high positions of the screwed maple neck. Thanks to the 27" long baritone scale (686 mm), a tight sound is also guaranteed even during abyssal down-tunings.
The Line 6 Medium-Output Humbucker at the bridge of the Line 6 Variax Shuriken convinces with a tight sound, which is made for modern metal sounds. The Line 6 Variax Shuriken unfolds its full sound potential using the integrated Variax electronics. Besides detailed simulations of various electric and acoustic guitars, it also provides presets programmed by Stevic MacKay, so there are no limits to creativity. It is also possible to change the tuning of the electric guitar"on the fly". With the Line 6 Workbench software, the presets can be easily programmed on the computer.
