I bought a Variax 700 when they first appeared but barely used it because setting it up for a gig was always a pain. The Firehawk is perfect for me. It powers the Variax, recognises which one you have and the bluetooth link is a doddle to set up. The software for my tablet is the very substantial icing on a very nice cake. It's so easy to use. A great piece of kit delivered really quickly and at a very competitive price by a company that actually competes with Thomann for price and choice. Thoroughly recommended.

A great unit for those who need a wide variety of sounds whilst gigging, and practising a home / demo recording. Although the technology has been overtaken by the Helios and software plugins - as a standalone multi-effect / amp simulator in this price bracket it is a winner.
