How it works
The Lindell Audio PEQ 501A equalizer module can handle both very high and very low frequencies and is based on the legendary Pultec EQP1a. By borrowing from the classic 1731 operational amplifier, it is possible to create a vintage sound. The module is compatible with all 500 series racks and requires two module slots. Gold-plated PCB elements and a transformer-coupled balanced output provide a professional sound, making the Equalizer suitable for both mixing and mastering processes.
Controls
The module is divided into two sections: On the left side are the low-frequency controls and on the right side are the high-frequency controls. To handle low frequencies, the CPS control is used to set the operating frequency in the range of 20Hz to 150Hz, which can be edited in the amount of boost or cut by the Atten and Boost controls respectively. The editable frequency range for high frequencies is between 1.5kHz and 16kHz. In addition to the changes made by the Boost and Atten controls, the bandwidth and the operating frequency of the Atten control itself can also be set here.
