The LD-Systems ICOA 12 is a 12" passive coaxial PA loudspeaker. This 12" full-range loudspeaker also impresses in the low frequency range with an impressive sound. The passive ICOA 12 from LD-Systems is a real all-rounder and extremely versatile thanks to its design with coaxial construction and rotatable, BEM-optimized CD horn.
The excellent bass reproduction of the horn-loaded woofer makes the ICOA 12 the ideal choice for dance schools, musicians, bands and entertainers. DJs can also use it without a subwoofer. With its great flexibility, the speaker also cuts a fine figure in fixed installations.
The speaker is impressive vertically as a satellite, horizontally in flown systems or as a floor monitor. It delivers a maximum sound pressure level of 123 dB and has a load capacity of 1000 W PEAK.
With its impact-resistant front grille and ideal tilt angle of 55°, the ICOA 12 is also suitable as a floor monitor. When used vertically, the 36 mm dual-tilt stand mount allows a tilt angle of 0° or 5° to be selected and the system to be optimally adapted to the respective sound reinforcement situation.
Extensive and clever accessories for installation and transportation are optionally available. Four aluminum handles with an ergonomic, rubberized surface ensure optimum grip when carrying the speaker.
When wiring amplifiers with loudspeakers, the type of loudspeaker plays a decisive role in the choice of cable required.
Passive speakers require a specific, two-pole speaker cable for connection to an amplifier. This cabling is necessary because the amplifier and the speaker are physically separated from each other in a passive setup. Depending on the connectivity of the amplifier and speaker, "speaker twist" or 6.3 mm jack plugs (speaker cable - not instrument cable) are usually used.
