While the slender Mahogany body with elongated upper horn provides optimum balance on both the strap and the thigh, the five-bolt Maple neck offers easy playability over all 24 frets of the Ebony fingerboard thanks to the "Slim" neck profile. Placed at the sweet spot in the middle of the body, the passive Seymour Duncan SMB-4D Humbucker provides a powerful sound with powerful low-end and transparent trebles, pushing every note with force into the pit of your stomach. The Kramer Guitars D-1 Bass is also equipped with active 2-band tone control for precise adjustment of the sound. Last but not least, a Kramer flush-mount bass bridge guarantees optimum adjustment of intonation and string action of the Kramer D-1, while die-cast tuners promise precise and stable tuning.
