The Korg Pa900 Professional Arranger Keyboard is the successor to the popular Pa800 model, offering plenty of new features, an easy to use interface and incredible Korg sound. The Pa900 is a 61-key semi-weighted keyboard with velocity and aftertouch in a sleek, compact and easy to transport design. It has a 7” Big Touchview TFT display, providing an easy way to search through the functions of the Pa900 and a four-way joystick that offers total control of sound articulation using the DNC (Defined Nuance Control) for added realism, not to mention three assignable encoders.
The two-way speaker system ensures powerful output with its two 20W amplifiers and bass-reflex enclosure which provides an enriching and dynamic sound experience. At the heart of the Pa900 is the Korg RX (Real eXperience) Technology system that improves sound quality, player articulation and distinct difference in expression. The graphical interface allows users to select Easy or Expert modes, Easy being for beginners or for live use, and Expert for full editing capability.
The Pa900 contains over 1100 sounds ranging from a stereo grand piano, new electric pianos from the Korg SV-1 stage piano, new wind instruments, basses and guitars, as well as useful digital drawbars with leakage. There are over 70 drum kits with Drum Family Easy Editing, enabling users to control volume, EQ, pitch and other parameters. There is up to 192MB PCM user memory for custom sounds to be added and improved General MIDI support for better compatibility.
The Pa900 also features Korg’s effects library, which allows for up to 4 stereo digital multi effect processors to be used for each song with 125 effect types available. Separate master effects consist of a 4-band parametric EQ and a limiter. An amazing feature of the Pa900 is the built-in TC Helicon Voice Processor which allows for up to 3 realistic voices that are available and able to be controlled by the keyboard or MIDI information. In addition to this are four effect units that comprise of reverb, delay, EQ and dynamics.
The Korg XDS Crossfade Dual Sequencer Player supports MP3+Graphics format which allows for embedded lyrics and graphics to be displayed simultaneously on the 7” TFT screen and external monitor with the video output. A 16 track sequencer will allow for advanced levels of music programming and the Backing Sequence function provides fast and simple song creation. Last but not least, there is a Score Viewer which allows for the viewing of traditional notation and also a Songbook which is a completely editable and simply searched Music Database.
