MIDI chord generator for polyphonic synth voices and synthesizers
The Chord Pilot from Knobula is an extraordinary MIDI chord generator for polyphonic synth voices and synthesizers. The module takes a new approach to chord generation and provides 192 memory locations for chords in one go. The chord generator is functionally supplemented by a strummer, an arpeggiator and an 8-step sequencer for chord sequences (orbit). The module's controls are used to create a new Chords. These form a virtual keyboard on which the note intervals are defined. Alternatively, an external MIDI keyboard can be used to enter notes. The musical spectrum ranges from pure and harmonious to total cacophony. The focus of the module is primarily on performance and expressly invites experimentation. The chords themselves are stored in groups of eight; in Orbit mode, these chord sets can be sequenced to create a musical structure. As an alternative to the Chords respectively chord sequences, you can arpeggiate through the chords. This sounds familiar and is also very useful musically. The Chord Pilot has no CV/Gate outputs, the notes are output solely via MIDI. This is particularly interesting for those User who use polyphonic synth voices such as eg. Poly Cinematic or a polyphonic rack expander or keyboard synthesizer. Thanks to the CV inputs for bias (note interval) and buttons (selecting the chord memories via control voltage) and the gate input for switching the mode, even more variety is added to the note sequences.
