With Lounge, Ketron presents a real jack-of-all-trades for keyboardists and solo entertainers; because the compact desktop device with comfortable 7" touchscreen is multimedia player, sound module, drum machine, stem player and karaoke machine at the same time! Lounge is designed specifically for musicians who prefer an all-in-one solution that can handle just about any occasion that comes its way. In its primary capacity as a multimedia player, the unit reads and plays MIDI files, MP3, Wav, Txt, Pdf, MP4 and several other formats; optical content can be output via the touch screen or via the DVI output eg. on an external PC monitor.
The internal sound generation shines with a polyphony of 128 voices, which can be distributed over up to 48 tracks and of course harmonizes hand in hand with the MIDI file player. Ketron has given Lounge a stately 632 GM sounds and 62 drum sets as well as 368 preset voices and just as many user voices. With 54 effects, the user has all possibilities to choose from to spice up the used sounds to his own liking. The sounds can of course also be played from an external MIDI keyboard and/or MIDI bass pedal! A special MIDI accordion mode allows to distribute sounds to the left and right side. As part of the sound generation and of course also to be used completely independently is the on-board Drum Machine; this makes use of the numerous drum sets and offers a huge pool with a total of 269 styles, 84 patterns, 372 loops and 397 grooves. This feature even benefits guitarists and other solo instrumentalists who need a rhythmic accompaniment for their playing with many intervention possibilities. Lounge has built in two microphone inputs for vocal interludes. Who wants more live feeling can try eg. delay and reverb effects on the voice and the vocalizer, which allows three-part singing. In combination with the karaoke function and the text output via screen, this should even provide an ambitious belting of well-known hits at home.
Stem is a special function that allows you to play up to 5 audio tracks simultaneously in perfect synchronization.
