The KMA AUDIO MACHINES Cirrus ICE Limited Edition is a limited edition of 200 copies of the popular KMA AUDIO MACHINES Cirrus digital effects pedal, and with the Spatial-Temporal Modifier, it is a hit for all friends of extensive ambient sounds. Wrapped in a wintry finish, the compact FX pedal combines a delay and a reverb effect with three effect modes each in one housing, while the straightforward concept always ensures fast and intuitive operation of the extensive sound options. In addition, the KMA Cirrus offers a tap-tempo function with division switch for the note value of the repetitions and an expression pedal connection for controlling effect parameters in real time.

Delay effect with three modes

The left half of the KMA Cirrus is taken up by the delay effect, which offers a total of three effect modes for both classic and modern sounds. The MOD mode delivers a classic delay with a band echo-like modulation of the repetitions whilst the OCT mode octaves them. Last but not least, the S/H mode offers sounds with clear synthesiser elements. With the help of the familiar controls for delay, time and mix, the effect proportion, the time until the echoes start and their number can be determined as usual. Furthermore, the additional Sens pot determines a parameter that depends on the selected mode. The delay time can also be conveniently adjusted to the song speed using the tap-tempo footswitch, and thanks to the division switch, three different note values can be selected for the repetitions.

KMA Cirrus with three reverb modes

Located in the right half of the pedal, the plastic reverb effect of the KMA Audio Machines Cirrus offers three modes for varied reverberation spaces. Whilst the MOD mode applies harmonic modulation to the reverb tail, the closing high-pass and opening high-pass filter modes filter out different frequency ranges from the reverb tail. The Reverb, Decay and Damp controls allow you to adjust the effect amount, the decay time of the reverb and the treble content of the signal. Furthermore, the Sens control can be used to determine a parameter selected by the user.

Expression connection, FX loop and momentary mode

With its extensive connection peripherals and intelligent footswitches, the KMA AUDIO MACHINES Cirrus ICE offers a wide range of additional possibilities for sound design and control. Accordingly, the FX loop allows you to integrate your own effects devices into the signal chain whilst the Exp connection allows you to use optionally available expression pedals to control a selectable effect parameter in real time. The Engage footswitch works as a momentary switch in bypass mode, activating the pedal only as long as the switch is pressed. Furthermore, when the effect is activated, holding down the Engage switch maximises the decay time of the reverb, whilst holding down the Tap footswitch maximises the repeats when the effect is active.
