With the KMA Audio Machines Chief Disruptor, the innovative Berlin-based effects company introduces an extremely versatile fuzz and distortion pedal, designed to help you dial in your perfect tone. Packed with a wide range of tonal options, the Chief Disruptor features three voicing modes, a top boost and an active EQ section – including a separately switchable, semi-parametric mid band for precise tone shaping.

Three basic fuzz sounds

At the heart of KMA's all-analog Chief Disruptor are three basic sound modes inspired by the most popular sounds of the rock era. "Tight" means a surprisingly defined fuzz tone with great bass foundation, present mids and crisp highs. "Vintage " enables a smooth low-to-mid gain Fuzz with a balanced sound. The "Heavy" mode delivers an extremely saturated Fuzz with maximum gain and massive low end. The Disruptor and Master controls enable adjustments of distortion and volume.

Flexible tone control

To ensure precise tone shaping, KMA Audio Machines has outfitted the Chief Disruptor with a highly flexible active EQ section. The Lows and Highs controls allow for musical sculpting of the frequency extremes, offering up to 15 dB Boost or Cut. The semi-parametric midrange control, equipped with its own dedicated footswitch, allows for especially detailed shaping of the guitar's core frequencies – perfect for dialing in everything from cutting clarity to thick, punchy mids.

Clean Blend and Top Boost

To ensure the Chief Disruptor maintains clarity and punch – even when the Disruptor knob is set to extreme settings or when used with a bass guitar – KMA Audio Machines has equipped the pedal with both a Top Boost and Clean Blend function. The Top Boost emphasizes the upper midrange, allowing your tone to cut through the mix with razor-sharp presence. Meanwhile, the clean blend lets you mix in your original clean input signal either before or after the EQ, preserving Attack's punch.
