Based on the sleek King V design, the Scott Ian Signature electric guitar offers a full mahogany construction with a continuous neck and Duncan Designed Humbucker for fat thrash sounds, while the combination of Ivory finish and Chrom Hardware visual accents sets the tone.
The Jackson X Series Scott Ian King V was developed in close cooperation with the New Yorker Metal legend and delivers juicy thrash Metal sounds with two Duncan Designed humbuckers.
Jackson Scott Ian King V : Mahogany and continuous neck
With the Jackson King V Scott Ian chose a classic Metal guitar as the basis for his Signature model. The combination of a continuous mahogany neck and body wings made of the same material promises a warm basic tone with fast attack, which provides the perfect basis for fat metal riffs. The neck not only offers the fast " Speed Neck " profile, but also a wide Palisander fingerboard with compound radius so that these go out of hand as if lubricated. In addition, large Block inlays provide the best orientation between the 22 Jumbo frets.
Duncan Designed Humbucker for juicy thrash riffs
The electric sound conversion of the Jackson X Series Scott Ian Signature is done by two Duncan Designed HB-103 Humbucker in the neck and bridge position. As close relatives of the Distortion pickups Seymour Duncan , the two high output aggregates turn out to be the perfect basis for fat riffs and solos. The Duncan Designed HB-103B delivers a particularly hot sound at the bridge of the amplifier, which cuts through the band sound with sharp mid Fokus and burning trebles, whereby each stroke is represented with a precise contour. On the neck, the HB-103N convinces with a warm sound that lets every note sing with endless sustain. But even with clean amplifier settings, both pickups are well known for their harmonic reproduction and excellent string separation.
indestructible Jackson Hardware
High quality Hardware , which can handle even the toughest Metal shows with indestructible functionality, completes the equipment of the Jackson Scott Ian Signature King V . Accordingly, the classic combination of Tune -O-Matic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece is used on the body, which ensures perfect intonation and string position even with abyss-deep down tunings. From the bridge, the 24.75" scale length (628 mm) of the strings are guided towards the headstock, on which Die-Cast tuners Jackson ensure precise and stable tuning.

This guitar is a player. The only complain is that it had to much space between strings and neck pup. And pickup was on it max height. It was about 5mm distance. I nearly sent it back. But a had a pick ring that i used instead. So now its 1,5 mm instead. sounds and plays like a killer.

Overall great playing guitar, pickups are not artist pickups but do the job well enough. Old school look with the pick guard and block inlays with the Jackson king V lines. Really love the candy apple red colour. Very satisfied with this guitar.
