JACKSON X Series Concert Bass CBXNT DX IV LRL Gloss Black
4-string electric bass with PJ pickup setup, active electronics and Bass Bacher Bridge
The Jackson X Series ConcertBass CBXNT DX IV LRL Gloss Black combines the great playability and enormous tonal variety of the Concert Bass design with classic design elements to create a striking all-round bass with enormous stage presence.
Woods and construction
For the construction of the four-stringer Jackson relies on a neck-through construction with graphite-reinforced maple neck and poplar body wings. The slim speed neck profile and the compound fingerboard radius promise optimal playing characteristics for driving grooves and nimble bass fills.
Pickups and Hardware
With a Jackson P-style split-coil pickup in middle position and a Jackson J-style single-coil at the bridge, the ConcertBass from Jackson delivers multi-faceted bass tones for almost any style of music. In addition, an active 3-band tone control allows you to precisely tune the timbre. An extremely solid Jackson Bass Bacher bridge and precise Jackson die-cast tuners complete the Jackson X Series ConcertBass CBXNT DX IV LRL Gloss Black.

Pros: Arrived on time. Packaging was sufficient to protect it in transit. First play: looks great (imho), sounds great and plenty of tonal range. Neck plays beautifully. Lovely snarly aggressive beast. Cons: Setup could be better; a little fret buzz here and there so some tweaking will be required to truss rod and string height. Intonation slightly off so also a little bit of tweaking needed there, but nothing too dramatic. It may be because place of manufacture is Indonesia so some adjustment for European environment needed. Getting its first baptism of fire at tonight's gig.....if I love it enough I might sell my Ricky to fund other stuff 😉
