Signature mid-gain overdrive of Switchfoot guitarist Drew Shirley
The Jackson Audio Belle Star overdrive pedal was developed in close collaboration with Switchfoot guitarist Drew Shirley and packs his signature sound into a pedalboard friendly format. Named after a famous ancestor of Shirley's who became famous as an outlaw, the handy effects pedal features an analogue low/mid-gain circuit with MOSFET clipping, which faithfully reproduces the sound of a full-blown small tube combo and reacts dynamically to the way the instrument is played without distorting its character. In addition to the classic passive tone control for fine-tuning the treble spectrum, the Jackson Audio Belle Star also has an active body control that determines the sonic character of the low frequencies with up to 15 dB boost or cut.
