TL electric guitar with flexible sound
The J & D TL-DLX Snow White is the deluxe version of the popular TL model. Not only does it have a particularly elegant look and a flexible Nashville-style pickup setup, but it also offers unbeatable value for money. While the alder body and the slim maple neck promise a classically comfortable playing feel, the combination of two TL single coils and one ST single coil pickup ensures multi-faceted twang sounds between the country, Blues and rock. Of course, tradition-conscious hardware equipment with Vintage steel strings-through-body bridge and tuning-stable die-cast tuners completes the TL-DLX Snow White electric guitar by J & D.
The J & D TL-DLX Snow White offers traditional sound and playing characteristics at an attractive price.
The maple neck, which is attached to the alder body with four screws and a neck plate, convinces with first-class playing characteristics.
Classic construction
The construction of the J & D TL-DLX electric guitar is naturally done with tradition-conscious woods and methods. While the multiple-bound alder body comes along as a classic "slab body" with rounded edges, the quadruple-bolted maple neck offers first-class playing characteristics in all positions of the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard due to the C-profile with 42.5 mm nut width.
A Nashville set of TL and ST single coils promises diverse guitar tones.
Nashville style pickups
The electrical sound transformation of the TL-DLX Snow White guitar is handled by three Single Coil pickups in the Nashville setup, which was developed by the accomplished session guitarists of the music metropolis. While TL Single Coil in bridge position delivers a crisp sound with explosive Attack and the coveted twang, TL Single Coil on the neck convinces with a surprisingly deep, yet transparent voicing. The ST single coil pickup in middle position also expands the sound spectrum and the coveted combination sounds created in conjunction with the TL pickups. In addition to the 5-way switch for selecting the pickups, J & D equips the TL-DLX guitar with master volume and master tone pots for precise adjustment of the sound.
Tuning-stable die-cast tuners keep the TL-DLX electric guitar securely in the correct tuning.
Tradition-conscious hardware
Last but not least, the J & D TL-DLX Snow White comes up with tradition-conscious and reliable hardware equipment, which skillfully supports the Classic Style of the guitar. While the strings of the Vintage Steel Bridgeanchored in the body support the crisp sound of the TL-DLX, the six-block tailpieces allow precise adjustment of intonation and string position. At the headstock, die-cast tuners in a 6-in-line arrangement keep the electric guitar securely in tune.
I bought this guitar a year ago. I instantly did: - worked (rounded) fret ends - replaced pickups and electronics - set up (action/intonation) of the guitar
Out-of-the-box: this guitar is quite playable (assuming you did initial setup and tuning. Quite a surprise with that price tag. It has (at least for me) the most pleasurable and playable neck profile. It looks also absolutely great (although I replaced hardware for gold, which made it absolutely eye-catcher.
In other words, for 150 Euro you have great looking and very playable guitar. If you may invest a bit and put there some decent set of pickups, you have great looking, very playable and great sounding guitar. If you may invest even more and change the hardware for gold, you have gorgeous looking, very playable and great sounding instrument.
For such quality you must normally pay way over 1000 Euro (2000 + will be my guess).
So, if you need guitar for every-day playing, learning or gigging (after some upgrades), this is the right guitar for you.
Clear buy recommendation. Just know that you have to set it up initially.
(I bought it for my student, but after all upgrades, I left it for myself) :)
