Agile basswood body with curly maple veneer
The body of the J & D 90FM BLB BlueBurst is made of solid basswood and reveals classic resonance characteristics of the well-known tone wood. Here, an additional figured maple veneer in combination with the noble Blue Burst finish provides for interesting looks, while the quadruple-bolted neck made of Canadian maple with its C-profile provides for a unique manageability of the action on the 24-fret composite fingerboard.
Flexible HSS setup
The pickup setup of J & D 90FM BLB BlueBurst is formed by three pickups in HSS arrangement. Thus, the bridge humbucker provides hot sounds of rock and metal, while the two single coils in the middle and neck contribute airy single-coil sounds. The three pickups are switched via a pickup selector switch with 5 positions and common controls for Volume and Tone.
Wilkinson VS-50 Tremolo
To expand the playing possibilities of the J & D 90FM BLB BlueBurst, an original Wilkinson VS-50 tremolo is used. The tremolo system with 2-point suspension allows pitch modulations up and down and acts particularly tuning stable due to its modern construction. The J & D 90FM BLB BlueBurst is completed by six solid die-cast tuners and a coherent Blue Burst finishwith matching lacquered headstock.
