Isovox 2 Midnight is a unique vocal booth that bridges the gap between simple reflection filters for home studios and expensive, inflexible vocal cabins in large studios. Although the recorded sound was good, if a little boomy, it is easily EQed out and gives a pleasing result.
Where its sound isolation was concerned it was good for -12 to -14dB, not the claimed -35dB.
I hope isovox 3 will produce a unit that you can sing into at midnight in my house with the kids in bed like it shows in the advert. That is not happening unless you give the kids earplugs.
I record voice over narration for eLearning and training films. Despite buying some great microphones I was never really happy with the end sound. I was concerned about value for money on this as it is very expensive. Well! The quality of my recordings have improved dramatically. A really fine quality sound, dampening any metallic, echo sounds and easily dealing with the background hum of the room I work in. No it doesn't reduce what others can hear of you whilst talking by much, but I was never looing for that. The setup is great, quality build and plenty of room to house my two mics and tablet. No regrets and would buy again for sure! Great service and great delivery time also.
