The Intellijel Sealegs at a glance
With Sealegs, Intellijel has succeeded in creating a very musical and versatile effects module with a focus on Delay and reverb. Sealegs is perfect for stereo signals, as variable delay times of 6-8 seconds for the left and right sides in the panorama, as well as three different stereo configurations really set it apart for this task. On the input side, the module accepts mono signals as well, of course. Great attention was paid to the development of the delay algorithms Tape, BBD and Digital and above all to achieve the most authentic reproduction of the analog models. The second effect in the Sealegs is a reverbwith 70s character and free routing and furthermore offers the possibility to process the reverb tail with highpass and Lowpass filters. The eight main parameters are designed as faders and also have control voltage inputs including attenuators. The ninth CV input AUX can be assigned to one of the five controls; just morph through the LFO waveforms with an envelope and be happy. The delay times can be synchronized via clock input and tap tempo or run freely. The same goes for the freely patchable modulator; with seven morphable waveforms, it already goes well beyond what a normal LFO would be capable of. Additionally the modulator acts as an envelope follower with positive or negative control voltage and generates wow & flutter, the latter simulating the egging of ancient tapes as CV! A noise and crackle generator in the signal path animates the effect module even without input signal, which is more suitable for experimental sound research. An overridable audio input and a freeze mode in the delay complete the creative possibilities of Sealegs and exciting details.
