Four-string electric bass with PowerSpan pickups and active electronics
The Ibanez SR300EB-WK Weathered Black is a four-string bass guitar built to excite through its smooth, fast neck and lightweight body, equipped with perfectly matched electronics. The SR4 neck is crafted from five-piece Maple/Rosewood with a slim easy-to-play profile, overall providing a supreme level of strength and stability and enhanced sustain. The Accu-cast B120 Bridge features extra-wide string slots so that it can accommodate the heaviest gauges.
Equipped with PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups, the SR300E produces a stronger signal, and increases the response of the higher frequencies without sacrificing low end. This results in a tone rich in harmonic detail and dynamic expression. Additionally, this bass comes with a Custom Electronics 3-band EQ with a 3-way Power Tap switch for maximum control over a wide variety of professional bass tones. The Tap Mode (single-coil) creates a punchy, dynamic sound with superior articulation, whilst the Series Mode (humbucking) delivers a full, warm tone. The Power Tap Mode offers the best of both by combining the clarity of the single coil with the fat bottom end of the humbucker.
I had this bass, sold it but I am think of buying it again. Very well made and very good sound. Rarely goes out of tune. Nice, funky, rounded sound for wide range of genres.
I've never played bass before, but I play guitar. Play a bass was my dream. And my colleagues gifted me a certificate to buy a bass guitar. After research, I chose this one. It was a great combination of price, quality, and amount of strings. It came to me in a couple of days and when I tried it I've gone to nirvana b/c of sound. I'm not a specialist but I do recommend this bass.

An amazing instrument for the money. Low weight, excellent tones, smoothest and least sticky neck I've used on any guitar/bass in this price range. Had it for about 3 weeks now, can't find a fault on it. Sure, it doesn't sound quite like a bass 10 times the price, but I would gig with this any day.
