Four-string Soundgear Bass with comfortable handling and flexible sound
The Ibanez Standard SR300E-DOT Deep Ocean Metallic combines incomparably high playability with a modern, versatile sound spectrum in the best Soundgear tradition. While the streamlined body made of Nyatoh and the slim maple-walnut neck contribute to the agile handling of the four-string E-Bass, the revised PowerSpan humbuckers in combination with the active 3-band tone control deliver versatile sounds for every style of music. Last but not least, Ibanez completes the SR300E-DOT Deep Ocean Metallic with reliable Hardware in the classic Cosmo Black finish.
The Ibanez Standard SR300E-DOT Deep Ocean Metallic not only impresses with its elegant look, but also with its agile playing characteristics and versatile bass sounds.
The slim neck and ergonomically shaped body of the Ibanez Soundgear SR300E electric bass promise a high level of playing comfort.
Typical Soundgear playing comfort
Thanks to the Nyatoh body in the typical, flowing Soundgear design, the SR300E Bass hugs the player and thus offers a robust playing position both sitting on the leg and standing on the strap. The four-piece bolt-on neck is made from five pieces of maple and walnut, while the flat "SR4" profile sits comfortably in the hand and allows fast basslines and complex grooves to flow easily from the jatoba fingerboard.
Together with the active 3-band tone control, the PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups of the Ibanez SR300E ensure tonal versatility.
PowerSpan humbucker with active 3-band tone control
The pickups used on the SR300E-DOT Deep Ocean Metallic are Ibanez PowerSpan dual-coil pickups specially developed for this Bass, which cover a variable sound spectrum in conjunction with the active Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band tone control. Whether transparent solo and jazz sounds, dirty rock growl or rich thrust from the deepest bass cellar, the four-string always has the right setting for every style and also accurately reproduces lower tunings.
The coils of the pickups can be called up in different combinations using the Power Tap switch.
Power tap switch for sound variability
Another special feature of the Ibanez SR300E-DOT Deep Ocean Metallic bass guitar is the power tap switch, which switches the coils of both humbuckers from the powerful series circuit to tap or power tap mode. While the former delivers authentic single-coil sounds with typical clarity and tone definition, the latter adds a fundamental bass component to the sound.
Tuning-stable Ibanez die-cast bass tuners guarantee correct tuning of the SR300 electric bass.
High-quality Hardware with unshakeable reliability
Last but not least, Ibanez equips the standard SR300E-DOT Deep Ocean Metallic Bass with reliable Hardware in the classic Cosmo Black Finish design. On the body side, the strings are attached to the tried-and-tested Accu-Cast B120 bridge, whose solid construction supports the sustain-rich sound character of the bass guitar. The string saddles can be individually adjusted for intonation and string position and, with a string spacing of 19 mm, offer sufficient space for clean strumming even with a bold playing style, while the top-mounted Ball-Ends make it much easier to change strings. Ibanez die-cast bass tuners on the headstock also keep the Bass securely in tune.
I had this bass, sold it but I am think of buying it again. Very well made and very good sound. Rarely goes out of tune. Nice, funky, rounded sound for wide range of genres.

An amazing instrument for the money. Low weight, excellent tones, smoothest and least sticky neck I've used on any guitar/bass in this price range. Had it for about 3 weeks now, can't find a fault on it. Sure, it doesn't sound quite like a bass 10 times the price, but I would gig with this any day.
